Teen Strength Sessions
(Ages 13–17)

Build Strength the Right Way

Most teenagers start training in a gym without ever being taught how to move properly.

Our Teen Strength Program is designed to teach young people how to lift safely, move efficiently, and build confidence in a structured, supportive environment.

This isn’t about heavy weights or pushing limits. It’s about building strong foundations that last a lifetime

Who It’s For

  • Teens aged 13–17 local to the Adelaide Hills

  • Complete beginners

  • Teens wanting to improve confidence in the gym

  • Young athletes wanting to support their sport

  • Teens who want to feel stronger and more capable

No experience required.

What We Teach

Every session focuses on:

✔ Fundamental Movement Patterns

Squat, hinge, push, pull, brace and carry — the foundations of safe strength training.

✔ Safe Lifting Technique

We prioritise form, control and progression before adding load.

✔ Age-Appropriate Programming

Sessions are designed specifically for growing bodies.

✔ Confidence & Competence

We help teens feel comfortable in the gym environment — not intimidated by it.

Why Proper Coaching Matters

Without guidance, teens often:

  • Copy poor technique from social media

  • Lift with incorrect form

  • Progress too quickly

  • Risk unnecessary injury

Our sessions teach movement first and weight second.

Good habits built early create safer, stronger adults.

Is Strength Training Safe for Teenagers?

Yes — when supervised and programmed appropriately.

Research consistently shows that structured, age-appropriate resistance training can:

  • Improve bone health

  • Increase coordination and body awareness

  • Support sport performance

  • Reduce injury risk

  • Improve confidence and mental resilience

All sessions are coached and supervised.

What a Session Looks Like

Each session includes:

  1. Movement preparation and warm-up

  2. Skill-based strength training

  3. Technique coaching and feedback

  4. Controlled conditioning work

  5. Positive team environment

Numbers are capped to ensure quality coaching and supervision.

The Outcome

By the end of the term, participants will:

  • Understand how to lift safely

  • Move with better control and coordination

  • Feel more confident training independently

  • Build strength in a responsible way

  • Develop long-term healthy habits

  • Improve self confidence and resillience
